That's a good idea, "handing out traffic tickets for minor charges". I wonder what the drop in oil

by stuckinarut2 inwhy do so many witnesses end up coming to forums like this?.
no doubt it is because of the fact that the society disallows any form of sincere questioning of teachings or doctrines or history etc.... if there was open discussion allowed - free of repercussions and punishment, then no one would feel stifled.
if genuine concerns could be raised, then no one would feel smothered or unable to share thoughts... then in turn many would not leave.... but due to the high control, authoritarian culture the society has created, many feel trapped, and end up searching outside of official channels...and leaving the society.....

Things I Never Knew When I Was A Witness!
by disillusioned 2 inthere are some things that as a witness i never knew.
maybe i was just going through the motions, attending meetings and not listening much.
never was very good at personal study or underlining answers in watchtower or book study (i never ever answered up) was too shy.. i never knew when i was a witness that they taught that jesus had looked down on the earth in 1919 to see who was serving god most accurately, and of course he chose a small group of bible students living in america!

april issue, article title' moment of impact'.. i havent fiished reading it yet, but it got me thinking, how likely is it that many born in jws [ teens in particular since thats the age these issues start to appear] will end up with these problems mentioned in the article?
i know of a few adults that have this problem, schizophrenia, bi polar, ect.

Maybe by tweaking(medicine) the GB nerve cell circuits or pathways that connect
particular brain regions may help them to come to their senses. But if
you ask me they are as nutty as a fruit cake.
Anyone believe that they have a direct line of communication with God (no one has
heard from him since Jesus), are nuts. The moment they were told, Jehovah wants you for
a GB member their brain went to the dark side, it was too much power and their brain short circuit.

during the session, the householder said he believed satan was not a person, but personification of evil within us.
